Job Title: Management Accountant
Reports To: Finance Manager
Working Hours: 40 hours per week/negotiable

Salary:  £30-£40k subject to experience

The Management Accountant will join our small finance team in our Ringwood Head Office to deliver, support and develop our existing processes over bank, inventory and VAT. This will include cash flow forecasting, and being part of a small team, assisting in numerous other reporting tasks.

The business is rapidly growing and there will be opportunity to develop the role in the future as the finance team evolves.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record all receipts and issuances from inventory.
  • Invoice matching and processing to orders and receipts
  • Matching customer receipts
  • Daily reconciliation of bank balances
  • Chasing suppliers for VAT invoices as required
  • Reconciling timesheet submissions and following up discrepancies
  • Preparing VAT returns
  • Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Assisting with statutory audit requirements
  • Providing ad-hoc assistance to the finance team and wider business as required
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and ensure as reasonably practicable that safe working practices are adopted by employees within this work environment

Essential Requirements, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities:

Education, training, skills and experience required

  • At least part qualified ACCA/ACA or equivalent or qualified by experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working within a busy finance team
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Practical experience of working with a book-keeping system such as Xero or SAGE.
  • Hands on and proactive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
